In order to fulfill our mission, Health Share of Oregon works to:
Lead: HSO provides thought leadership on key healthcare issues and develops solutions that improve the coordination, affordability, and quality of care in Oregon.
Connect: They bring people and organizations together to share knowledge, build relationships and expand collaboration across the state.
Advocate: HSO advocates for policies that ensure all Oregonians have access to quality health care.
As the state’s largest CCO, HSO is uniquely positioned to provide leadership on key healthcare issues and connect people and organizations across the state. They are committed to working with member CCOs to ensure that all Oregonians have access to quality health care. This includes mental health care services, which has seen a large increase in need from it’s members ever since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
HSO was founded in 2013 by the Oregon Health Authority and the eight CCOs. They are governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives from each of the member CCOs.
Importance of Therapy For Individuals Having Insurance
It is no secret that the cost of therapy can be expensive. Many people forgo necessary mental health treatment because they cannot afford it. Some people may feel that their insurance will not cover the cost of therapy, but this is often not the case. In fact, most insurance companies will cover at least a portion of the cost of therapy.
However, if you have insurance through Health Care of Oregon there are options available for you to receive the mental health treatment that you need.
Therapy can help individuals work through personal issues, learn how to cope with stress, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Additionally, therapy can help people improve their relationships, communication skills, and self-esteem. Ultimately, therapy can help people lead happier, healthier lives.
If you are considering therapy, be sure to check with your insurance company to see what coverage they provide. You may be surprised at how much of the cost of therapy is covered by your insurance.
If you have any questions about coverage, please contact Health Share of Oregon or your CCO as they will be able to provide you with the most accurate information.
